Jaguar’s Controversial EV Relaunch Has Leaked Online

In advance of the reveal, Jaguar has made much of the company’s ambition for its cars to be “a copy of nothing”, and a great deal of what we see here, with invisible A-pillars, a squared front end and rounded rear seems to make good on that promise. The slatted roof in particular that stands out for individuality.

However, the lack of a rear windscreen will mean that a camera system will likely be employed to deal with looking behind the vehicle, much like Polestar 4 already featured last year. The slatted, wide front grille is solid, a feature many EVs have adopted, but is mirrored at the rear where the slats likely conceal tail lights.

Just how much of this design makes it through to Jaguar’s upcoming four-door electric GT, due in 2026, remains to be seen. But it has been stated that the EV will output 575 bhp and have a range of more than 430 miles and be priced north of £100,000 ($127,000), raising the brand back into proper luxury auto territory.
