Johnny Depp’s son Jack has a secret job as a BARTENDER: He works in Paris restaurant the place his mom Vanessa Paradis and sister Lily-Rose are regulars

Hollywood legend Johnny Depp‘s reclusive son has been working in secret at a Paris restaurant, MailOnline can exclusively reveal.

Jack, 22, the spitting image of his father, is rarely seen in public and keeps a low profile despite his celebrity genes – his mother is French singer actress Vanessa Paradis, 51.

Jack has lived in the shadows of his A-list family and unlike his sister Lily-Rose – currently starting in Dracula smash Nosferatu – prefers to stay in the background.

But MailOnline has discovered he has been working in a trendy Lebanese restaurant called L’Area in the French capital’s hipster Bastille quarter.

The venue – with its exposed roof ratfers and mosaic floor – is popular with music and fashion industry types and is also a haunt for movie stars including Matt Damon and Matt Dillon.

One recent review read: ‘Excellent! Always a warm welcome and delicious experience at this cosy restaurant. Good food and a wonderful host.’

Jack – who was named after his 61-year-old father and grandfather – has been working shifts behind the bar and also in the downstairs kitchen rustling up a mean mixed mezze.

Pictures of him working at the restaurant are on the venue’s social media and there is also footage of Lily-Rose, 25, preparing cocktails behind the bar.

Jack spent two years working in L’Area before leaving, but owner Edouard Chueke expects him to return later next year.

Mr Chueke told MailOnline: ‘Jack is a great guy; he keeps out of the limelight, but worked here behind the bar and in the kitchen.

‘He was a good employee, he left a few months ago but I expect him back later next year. Good staff are hard to find.

‘I’ve been running this place for 15 years and it’s very popular with the fashion and music crowd, but also film stars come here, and Jack’s mum Vanessa Paradis and sister are regulars.

‘Lily was mixing caipirinhas behind the bar and really getting into the swing of it, she was enjoying herself.’

Vanessa has always tried to keep her children out of the spotlight when they were younger and in a 2007 interview with Belgian media underlined her aim.

She said: ‘Now I indeed keep them away from the cameras because I don’t want our children to be forced to share in our fame against their will.

‘They didn’t ask for that. Not yet. The day that they will decide for themselves to do things that might bring them into the spotlights, then I won’t stop.’

Jack’s life away from the celebrity glare is a world away from that of his sister – who has been in the limelight since she was a teenager.

In a recent interview with her friend Natalie Portman for Interview magazine, Lily-Rose shed light on Jack and revealed she had earned some ‘cool points’ from him for her new horror film.

She said: ‘This one in particular was big for me, because my brother and I both were super obsessed with Dracula when we were younger.

‘My brother used to dress up like Dracula when he was a kid for school. I was like ”Wow, if I get this part my brother’s going to finally think I’m cool.”

‘It’s the classic thing of when you have a younger sibling, they think you are so cool when you’re kids, and then when you get older, now I think he’s so cool, and I’m like “Let’s hang!” And he’s like, ‘I’m busy” but yeah I think I got some points with this one.’

In 2014, Johnny spoke of his relief that his son hadn’t followed him onto the big screen and said: ‘My boy, jack, has always been a very talented draftsman.

‘He draws really super well. He also plays music very well. He’s got a good feel for that.

‘Aside from school plays and things, he hasn’t shown any desire to become an actor. Whew.’

Pictures on Jack’s social media show him playing a guitar or relaxing on the beach with friends and he is known to divide his time between France and the United States.

Jack – who speaks fluent French – was linked to French model Camille Jansen after they were spotted together in London.

On his 18th birthday she posted an image of the pair cuddling on Instagram and captioned it: “Happy birthday my love.”

Sister Lily also shared Jack’s coming of age celebrations on her Instagram and posted some unseen black and white photo booth pictures of them together as children.

She wrote: ‘My little baby Jackie is 18. My baby bro, my heart and soul happy Birthday. I love you SO MUCH!’
