Kate Moss appears to be like stylish in a black coat and £90 patterned scarf from her personal Zara vary as she steps out for lunch in Notting Hill – amid criticism over the brand new vogue line

Kate Moss was sporting a piece from her pricey new Zara party range as she stepped out for lunch in Notting Hill, London, this weekend.

The model, 50, looked chic in a simple black coat and patterned silk scarf which retails at £89.99 as she enjoyed a day out.

It comes amid criticism for the range with shoppers complaining about it online and stylists calling it ‘underwhelming’ and ‘a major disappointment’.

While out and about in the capital this weekend the beauty – who opted for a toned down makeup look – was dining at Sumi Restaurant in north London.

Kate laughed and joked with a pal as they enjoyed a cigarette after the afternoon at the swanky eatery.

Under her winter coat Kate wore a winter knitted dress and toted a sleek leather handbag, while wearing her blonde tresses in loose waves.

Although her new Zara collection was much-hyped before it dropped, shoppers have been complaining about it online.

Some stylists have called it ‘underwhelming’ and ‘a major disappointment’.

‘£199 for this very boring black trench coat?!’ one said online.

‘I was super excited about the range as were lots of my clients, but it falls flat,’ said Tatiana de Normann, a stylist and personal shopper.

‘The shoes are dated and the fabrics are just crap for the price point. These sought-after celebrity collaborations are often highly priced and then totally let down by the fabrics being used. Zara should be doing better!’

Kate said amid the fashion line launch: ‘I’ve enjoyed working with Zara on campaigns over the years and always loved their collaborations, so when Marta and I first talked about this project I was excited about getting to design clothes again and work with Katy England.’

Describing her motivation behind the launch, she added: ‘For this collection, I wanted to create the perfect party capsule – pieces that feel effortlessly chic but with an edge.

‘Mixing classic cuts with just the right amount of glam to take you through the party season.’

Her ‘party capsule’ collection was designed by herself, Marta Ortega Pérez, the chair of Inditex (which owns Zara), and her long-term collaborator and stylist Katy England.

She has countless iconic looks under her belt ever since first rising to prominence as the face of nineties and noughties fashion.

But arguably none are more memorable than an apparently ‘thrown together’ Glastonbury outfit she wore while dating Pete Doherty in 2005.

Kate’s stylist and friend James Brown claimed Kate is not one to meticulously plan her festival looks and put it together on the morning of the event.

The model’s glitzy gold dress – handed down to her by 70s actress and Rolling Stones muse Anita Pallenberg – and Hunter wellies proved an instant hit.

Kate teamed the outfit with a ‘Glastonbury Rocks’ belt she had purchased the day before and her hair was worn loose with minimal to no make-up.

The outfit, which is still talked about nearly two decades later, has clearly been an inspiration for one of Kate’s dresses in her high street collection.

Speaking about the memorable festival look, James told the Standard: ‘It happened straight away.

Comparing the reaction to that which followed her yellow Calvin Klein moment at the 1995 Met Gala, he said: ‘It became like an instant, iconic moment.

‘It was like this sort of yellow dress moment. Literally iconic overnight, a picture that’s always gonna be ingrained in everyone’s memory.’
