Man City’s 115 alleged Premier League rule break listening to has concluded

Manchester City’s hearing regarding their alleged 115 breaches of financial rules has concluded, according to reports, but a decision still isn’t close

The hearing centring on Manchester City’s 115 alleged breaches of financial rules has concluded.

City are accused of breaching FFP regulations over a nine-year span, starting in 2009 with the takeover by the Abu Dhabi United Group and continuing until 2018. However, City have protested their innocence and been fighting the charges at London’s International Dispute Resolution Centre.

The hearing, which started in mid-September has now come to an end, according to the Daily Mail. A three-man panel will now go away and deliberate the evidence before delivering the verdict.

However, recent reports suggest a verdict might not be made before the end of the season.

Legal experts have suggested the commission will need a minimum of two to three months to weigh up the huge amount of evidence being offered by both sides.

City were slapped with 115 charges, which was later increased to 130 following an administration issue, back in February. The Champions have been accused of failing to accurately report their finances over a nine-year period from 2009/10 to 2017/18.

They have also been alleged to have failed to provide all the details about former manager Roberto Mancini’s pay packets between 2009/10 and 2012/13. There are also accusations of failing to disclose full player salaries between 2010/11 and 2015/16.

City have also been slapped with charges of failing to cooperate with the Prem’s investigation.

Pep Guardiola’s side have maintained their innocence throughout the investigation.
