DJ Fat Tony suffered an attack that’s left him with facial injuries, stirring a wave of support from fans and A-list friends like Davina McCall. The 57-year-old, a loud supporter of LGBTQ+ rights, took to social media with a heartfelt message explaining regretfully that he had to axe an upcoming show to get back on his feet.

The spinner, whose real name is Tony Marnach, told his story of being hit unconscious, landing in the local A&E, and spending all of Friday night in the hospital. He told fans what had happened on his social media, announcing plans to postpone his much-anticipated Christmas show while he recovers. His fans flooded his messages with support, as he later revealed police were looking into the incident.

TV legend Davina McCall showed her support in the comments, penning: “F***. Tony this is terrible … Love you so much x call you tomorrow.” Artist Ellie Goulding promised comeuppance, writing: “Will find him and punch him back for you,” and RuPaul’s Drag Race star The Vivienne expressed shock: “OMG hope you’re OK.”, reports the Mirror.

Tony confided to his 402k Instagram followers about the incident: “I can’t really go into details but I was attacked last night at a gig, in the DJ box by another DJ funnily enough. It resulted in me being knocked out and taken to hospital and being in A&E all night. Obviously you can see the damage to my face and the swelling – it’s not good. I wanted to let you know I can’t be at my gigs today as I have been advised to stay at home and get well.”

“I’m absolutely gutted, I’m gutted this happened, I’m gutted that people choose violence especially when what we do comes from a place of love. I’m really sorry that I won’t be seeing you tonight but we will reschedule everything. Big love guys – I’m just gutted really gutted.”

He captioned the post: “LOVE ALWAYS WINS X I am devastated to announce that due to unforeseen circumstances I have no choice but to cancel tonight’s event at @number90bar @no90_events. I’m under doctors orders I need to rest and get better. I will be ok and I’m on the mend – but for now I need to take the doctors’ advice.”

“I know some of you have had this night out in your diaries for a long time and this is last minute – I really am so sorry. I will make it up to you all in the new year. Happy Christmas everyone, take care of yourselves. We will be rescheduling tonight’s event to January 25th. I can’t wait to see you all there and party together.
