World Cup winner’s gorgeous ex-WAG ‘actually embraced her physique’ and stripped for Playboy
Cathy Hummels, the ex-wife of former Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich defender Mats Hummels, decided to bare all on the pages of Playboy following their divorce
Cathy Hummels, the stunning ex-wife of World Cup winner Mats Hummels, decided to pose for Playboy after their divorce.
Around a decade ago, the pair were going strong in what was a high point of Hummels career. He had just helped Borussia Dortmund to two Bundesliga titles in 2011 and 2012, becoming a mainstay at the heart of Germany’s defence.
And then in Brazil in 2014, Hummels, who turned 36 today (Monday, December 16), was part of the starting XI that overcame Argentina to claim World Cup glory, with Cathy there supporting her husband. However, fast forward to 2022, and the pair announced their divorce.
“I’m divorced, I’m more or less a single parent. It’s not like this was my dream at 25,” she admitted on the Krause Kommt back in 2022.
And following her split from her World Cup winning husband, Cathy decided to pose for Playboy to embrace her body. “I do whatever I want,” she told the magazine. “I’ve never really embraced my body.
“I’m 35 years old and only now can I say: I like myself. I would have liked to feel this body earlier. I had a boob job because I didn’t feel like a woman.”
She also told radio station Energy Munich: “I love to snog when I’m drunk. The sex is irrelevant, I don’t care. I also kiss women in such situations. Then I just want to snog.”
The stunning blonde has carved out a career for herself as a model and broadcaster, with Cathy now boasting a social media following of 690,000 fans on Instagram. Meanwhile, ex-Husband Mats is currently playing in Italy for Roma.
The German defender helped Borussia Dortmund reach the Champions League final earlier this year, but opted to leave the Bundesliga side at the end of the 2023/24 season, calling time on his second spell at the club.
His first spell with Dortmund coincided with Jurgen Klopp’s tenure in charge, which saw the latter guide them to two Bundesliga titles, as well as a German Cup win too in 2012.
However, due to their success, Dortmund found themselves being cherry-picked by Europe’s elite, with the likes of Hummels, Robert Lewandowski and Mario Gotze all joining Bayern Munich from Dortmund just years after their title success under Klopp.
