Teenager arrested over ‘homicide’ of mom, 44, who was gunned down in drive-by capturing exterior wake final month
A man has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Michelle Sadio who was shot dead in a drive-by shooting outside a wake in London.
The mother, 44, was gunned down when a car pulled up outside a church in North West London, near Wembley Stadium, and opened fire on a crowd of mourners in the street last month.
Scotland Yard confirmed tonight that detectives had arrested an 18-year-old man today. He is currently being held in custody.
Two men, both aged in their 30s, were also injured. One remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition, the other man has been discharged following treatment, the Met Police added.
Detective chief inspector Phil Clarke, who leads the investigation, said: ‘While this arrest marks a significant step forward in this investigation we continue to appeal for anyone with information about Michelle’s murder to come forward and speak to us.
‘This was a senseless act of violence that resulted in an innocent woman being killed. Michelle’s family continue to grieve and we are determined to ensure those responsible face the consequences of their actions.
‘If you can help in any way then please don’t hesitate to contact us.’

The ceremony – held at the River of Life Elim Pentecostal Church in Harlesden – was organised to mark the ninth day on from Mrs Boateng’s death on December 5.
She had stepped out of the venue to take a breather when she was shot just before 9.15pm.
One friend described Ms Sadio as a ‘brilliant’ person and mother who was ‘the light in the lives’ of her loved-ones.
