Residents in the ritzy celebrity enclave of Pacific Palisades are slowly discovering their homes have been reduced to ash and rubble following the California wildfires.
The homes of Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, Anna Faris and James Woods are among those confirmed destroyed, while dozens of other stars now face an anxious wait alongside their neighbors to learn if anything could be saved.
Hellish fire tore through Pacific Palisades on Tuesday, rapidly spreading to surrounding suburbs as a windstorm carried embers and debris in all directions.
Residents fled and then waited with bated breath to learn more about their homes, as news began trickling out that entire streets had been wiped off the map, firefighters were running out of water, and resources were being diverted to fight the fire on multiple fronts.
Now, the widespread devastation is becoming clearer as celebrities share their devastation upon discovering they’ve lost their million-dollar mansions.
Adam Brody and Leighton Meester
Actors Adam Brody and Leighton Meester‘s $7 million mansion is among the 1,000 structures which have been destroyed due to the wildfires.
The couple purchased the five bedroom home in 2019, but pictures show the property now engulfed in flames.
The Nobody Wants This star, 45, and Gossip Girl actress, 38, were last pictured in public at Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards, less than two days before the fires broke out.
They lived at the 6,000 square foot home with their two young daughters.

Paris Hilton’s beachfront mansion in Malibu was also razed.
The fires reached Malibu on Tuesday night as fire spread at an unprecedented rate.
Beloved local businesses were destroyed along the waterfront, and now TMZ reports that Hilton’s mansion was another casualty.
It was not her main residence.
Miles and Keleigh Teller
Top Gun: Maverick star Miles Teller and his wife Keleigh bought their dream home for $7.5million in April 2023.
The home is now entirely wiped out.
Shocking pictures show a car parked in the driveway was also completely charred.
Ricki Lake
Former talk show host Ricki Lake shared an emotional post mourning the ‘immeasurable’ loss of her ‘dream home’.
Lake, 56, bought the property back in 2014. She and husband Ross Sussman tied the knot there in their backyard just three years ago.
‘I can’t believe I am typing these words […] Ross and I lost our dream home,’ Lake wrote on Instagram.
‘This description ‘dream home’ doesn’t suffice. It was our heaven on earth. The place where we planned to grow old together.
‘We never took our heavenly spot on the bluff overlooking our beloved Malibu for granted, not even for one second. This loss is immeasurable.’

Maria Shriver
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ex wife and former First Lady of California Maria Shriver shared a devastating update driving through her community on Wednesday.
She shared footage of the charred remains of homes, an entire street leveled with nothing left.
‘Heartbreaking, devastating, beyond belief. Everything is gone. Our neighborhood, our restaurants,’ she wrote.
‘All our friends have lost everything. We have evacuated, but are safe. But people have lost everything.’
Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag
Reality stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag confirmed their home has also been lost.
Pratt, 41, was captured in photos as he watched the rapidly advancing fire move toward his home.
Luckily, the couple and their two sons were able to safely evacuate earlier in the day before the flames got too close.
Matthew Perry’s former home
The home where Friends star Matthew Perry tragically died is within the destroyed evacuation zone of Pacific Palisades, according to Realtor.com.
The home was bought by a real estate developer for $8.5million just months ago.
James Woods
Oscar-nominated actor James Woods shared footage of a home two blocks from his property that was completely set alight.
He fled the Palisades with his family as the a fast-moving wildfire tore through and is unclear what remains of his own property after the evacuation.
Woods also declared that he and many of his neighbors no longer have insurance after a ‘major company’ supposedly canceled many of the policies four months ago.
Mark Hamill
Star Wars actor Mark Hamill revealed he was bundled out of his Malibu home in a ‘last-minute’ evacuation on Tuesday night.
He said ‘small fires’ burned on ‘both sides of the road’ as he approached the Pacific Coast Highway and called the blaze the ‘most horrific fire’ since 1993.
Ben Affleck
Ben Affleck raced to his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s home after being evacuated from the devastating California wildfires.

He rushed over to their home to collect the family and all have since escaped to safety, sources told DailyMail.com.
Cameron Mathison
General Hospital star Cameron Mathison’s LA home was also razed in the fires.
The actor, 55, shared a shocking video of the still-flaming rubble of his former home in Pasadena, California which was destroyed in the Eaton wildfire as the Pacific Palisades blaze continues to spread.
Ash and flames were seen in the background, with the exterior structure of the home barely standing.
Rubble and brick, as well as a ladder, was seen strewn about the property,
Mathison wrote: ‘We are safe But this is what’s left of our beautiful home. Our home where our kids were raised and where they wanted to raise their own someday.
‘Thanks to all who reached out and checked in. Can’t respond to all so wanted to give an update here.
‘Sending so many prayers to everyone being affected by these fires.’
Mathison and now estranged wife Vanessa Arevalo lived in the home with their two children.
The All My Children star bought the house in 2012 with Arevalo for for $1.672 million.

Jamie Lee Curtis has evacuated and does not know if her home has burned down or not.
‘My community and possibly my home is on fire,’ began the icon who had to evacuate the area.’ she wrote on Instagram.
‘My family is safe. Many of my friends will lose their homes. Many other communities as well.
‘There are so many conflicting reports. With all the technology there seems to be very little information. PLEASE POST FACTS! IT WILL HELP THOSE WONDERING!’

A second blaze, dubbed the Eaton Fire, broke out some 30 miles inland in Altadena, near Pasadena, and increased in size to 1,000 acres from 200 acres in a few hours, according to Cal Fire.
Mandy Moore and her three children have evacuated their Pasadena home as the catastrophic fire continued to spread westward. The This Is Us star, 40, says the family and their pets are safe.
A third blaze named the Hurst Fire had also broken out in Sylmar, in the San Fernando Valley northwest of Los Angeles, prompting evacuations of some nearby residents.
The raging infernos are tearing through neighborhoods that dozens of A-listers call home, including Jhene Aiko, Tom Hanks, Miles Teller, and the Kardashians, among others.

Schitt’s Creek star Eugene Levy is a long-time member of the affluent Pacific Palisades neighborhood. He and his wife Deborah Devine purchased their home there in 2006 for $2.4million, Tuko reported.
As the blaze ravaged through his hometown, Levy, 78, told the Los Angeles Times that he got caught in the gridlock of fleeing locals.
The actor told the paper, ‘The smoke looked pretty black and intense over Temescal Canyon. I couldn’t see any flames, but the smoke was very dark.’
Firefighters are continuing to battle the ferocious wildfires in Los Angeles suburbs, which have devoured buildings and sparked panicked evacuations as hurricane-force winds fueled rapid blaze growth.
Frightened residents abandoned their cars on one of the only roads in and out of the upscale Pacific Palisades area, fleeing on foot from the 5,000-acre inferno.
Two people have been killed and dozens more injured, with homes and businesses leveled by the flames.
On Tuesday, California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency.
