The Traitors viewers left ‘devastated’ after fan-favourite Dan was banished – with Linda narrowly surviving one other Round Table

The Traitors viewers have been left ‘devastated’ after fan-favourite Faithful Dan was banished from the game on Friday, following a tense Round Table.

The 33-year-old bank risk manager from Liverpool was sent packing after he lied to pals Minah and Frankie during the challenge, causing the other players to suspect him.

In the earlier game, players had to ‘mark each other’ by placing a bucket behind the person they thought didn’t deserve a shield – and Dan played tactically by going for those who would never guess it was him, meaning he could keep his own shield.

Although he wanted to keep his tactics a secret, it ended up being revealed at the Round Table that he had betrayed two of his friends, with Minah being reduced to tears.

Despite it looking like Linda could be the one to get banished initially, the tide quickly turned and Dan was targeted, receiving the most votes and revealing he was a Faithful before he left.

Disappointed fans rushed to X to express their sadness that Dan had left, writing: ‘I’m so annoyed Dan is gone,he’s the only who was playing the game right. I’m gonna miss his facial expressions #TheTraitors.’

Earlier in the episode, fans were all saying the same thing about Linda after she turned on the waterworks at breakfast.

The 70-year-old retired opera singer was selected to be a Traitor at the beginning of the programme and has been putting on quite the performance since.

She began sobbing during breakfast after it was revealed that Livi had been murdered by the Traitors, in an attempt to escape suspicion and make herself seem like a Faithful.

However, her dramatic ‘BAFTA-winning’ moment did not seem to work in her favour and has instead left even more people questioning her.

But, despite it not being as effective as she had hoped, fans of the BBC show still can’t get enough of Linda’s ‘iconic’ acting skills and rushed to X to comment on the hilarious moment.

They wrote: ‘If our linda doesn’t win a BAFTA for best actress in a leading role there’ll be hell to pay #TheTraitors.’t

‘LINDA STOPPPP #TheTraitors.’

‘Truly a BAFTA winning performance from ar’ Linda and the direct look into the camera too I just can’t #TheTraitors.’

‘Linda what on earth was that performance… #TheTraitors.’

‘Linda is an icon. Give her a West End role now. #TheTraitors.’

‘Linda’s acting is atrocious but she’s one of the most iconic players across the whole 3 seasons so far because of it #TheTraitors.’

‘Not Linda bucking for best dramatic actress at the Tuesday evening community college drama class #TheTraitors.’

‘Everyone’s individual reaction to Linda crying is pure gold #TheTraitors.’

‘Linda crying to throw everyone off and then getting more people to be more suspicious is actually sending me #TheTraitors #TraitorsUK.’

Later in the episode, Linda’s ‘cinematic’ display came back to her haunt her and was brought up at the Round Table.

Her fellow players found it odd that she was crying over someone they thought she wasn’t very close to.

But, after a clever diversion and more convincing tears from her fellow traitor Minah, Faithful Dan actually ended up pulling the short straw.
