‘Daniel Dubois took his second with each palms – he deserves gold, gongs and glory’

It is awards season as they say and Queensberry’s success in the trade gong giveaways just shows what a great 2024 we had.

Boxing News magazine revealed their results in their latest issue and they were littered with names from our stable. British fighter of the year was none other than Daniel Dubois and the Dynamite also got the knockout of the year for his fifth-round finish of Anthony Joshua.

To many it was an upset but not for me. It was Daniel’s moment and he took it with both hands. I’m delighted he’s getting recognition for it. The 5v5 event in May out in Saudi Arabia won event of the year.

Of course, we romped home as victorious in the first of its kind night as we whitewashed Matchroom’s team in style. Some of our great domestic bouts of the year were listed in the British fights of the year, too.

Ekow Essuman’s win over Owen Cooper was the ranked second. The winner was Fabio Wardley’s draw with Frazer Clarke. Well, we signed up Wardley afterwards and he beat Clarke convincingly in the rematch.

While Moses Itauma was voted by the Boxing News readers as the prospect of the year. It shows our investment in the sport and the fighters that we continue to deliver exciting bouts and bring boxers to the very top of the game.

We will be continuing to do that in 2025. We’ve already got an exciting schedule up until the end of March confirmed and are putting together plans for April and beyond with DAZN.

We will be bringing big fights to Britain and Saudi Arabia while looking at other markets and where we can expand to. But first we’ve got the Ring Magazine awards this weekend in London and hopefully we will pick up a few more there.
