Jeremy Clarkson jumps on Luke Littler pattern as he makes main change at his pub
The Luke Littler-inspired darts craze hasn’t bypassed Jeremy Clarkson, who has made a change at his Oxfordshire pub, after the teen made history by becoming the youngest world champ ever
Ex-Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson has jumped on the Luke Littler darts craze with a change at his pub.
Luke Littler realised his dream by winning the World Championship after bulldozing his way past Michael van Gerwen. The 17-year-old sensation from Warrington beat the Dutchman 7-3 in a one-sided final to become the youngest-ever world champion at the weekend.
A change has since been made to The Farmer’s Dog following the teenager’s landmark victory. Jeremy Clarkson’s Oxfordshire boozer in Asthall now has a new dartboard upstairs for customers to use alongside the pool table. A pub spokesperson said: “Monday night billiards.
“We’re open until 11pm.
“A new dartboard awaits, as does a cold pint of Hawkstone and a sausage roll.”
Mr Clarkson purchased The Windmill in Asthall near Burford for around £1,000,000 last year and spent months renovating the spot.
Reopening it as The Farmer’s Dog in recognition of his own pets, the former Top Gear host welcomed in the punters back in August and the crowds have been coming back ever since.
Customers can go for drinks or have a meal at the in-pub restaurant which serves carveries on Sundays and is open six days a week.
While Clarkson’s pub may be open for business, his farm shop is set to earn diddly squat for the first two months of the year, and has seen its value plummet by half in the last year. Clarkson sells produce, booze and souvenirs from his Diddly Squat store, with fans travelling from afar to get a look at the star.
But despite its popularity, annual accounts for Curdle Hill Farm Limited – the firm behind the shop – reveal tough trading conditions. Books filed to Companies House late last month show the outfit is now worth just £161,642 for 2024 – down from £305,941.
With the farm shop announcing it will close for the first two months of 2025, Diddly Squat won’t see money coming in any time soon.
