Outrage over Sabrina Carpenter’s Brits ‘intercourse present’ as raunchy efficiency sees her get on her knees in entrance of ‘King’s Guard’ earlier than he turns to the digicam and winks
Brit Awards viewers were left outraged by Sabrina Carpenter’s raunchy pre-watershed performance that saw the US pop star get down on her knees in front of a ‘King’s Guard’.
Parents of young children watched on in disbelief as the scantily dressed Espresso singer, 25, opened the awards at The O2 in London last night with a steamy set.
They vowed to immediately contact ITV and Ofcom after Carpenter – dressed in a skimpy red lingerie outfit – suggestively crouched down in front of a dancer dressed in a King’s Guard uniform.
The camera then panned to the ‘guard’ who looked towards the lens and winked.
She had opened the awards ceremony wearing a red sparkly military-style blazer dress in homage to Britain.
Surrounded by dancers dressed in King’s Guards uniform, she strutted down a red carpet lit up with the Union Flag.
Carpenter then changed into a skimpy red lingerie outfit to perform song Bed Chem on a large bed where she spread her legs apart.
The jawdropping performance appeared to come close to breaking the Broadcasting Code’s 9pm watershed rules and left some viewers in shock with one father saying he was ‘fuming’.

‘Unsuitable material’ should not be shown before 9pm and ‘can include everything from sexual content to violence, graphic or distressing imagery and swearing’, according to Ofcom.
One mother said her 11-year-old daughter is ‘obsessed’ with Carpenter ‘and I explained to her whilst watching this performance that this is why I’m not taking her to the concert’.
‘Sorry not a good idea to open up with before 9pm! It’s still family time, very inappropriate,’ one viewer wrote on X.
Another said: ‘As a dad of 11 and 13 year old girls I am fuming that this was the opening scenes of #BRITs2025.’
A third labelled it ‘f***ing ridiculous’ to be shown at 8.23pm, adding: ‘Lots of little girls watching this. Learning that female artists have to dress & perform like a prostitute to become famous…
‘@Ofcom @ITV there’s a watershed for a reason. Who decided this was appropriate for family viewing at 8.20 on sat prime time?’
Meanwhile, others warned that not everyone may be a fan of the pre-watershed performance.
Fans quipped: ‘Sabrina Carpenter doing Bed Chem pre-watershed? The ofcom complaints about that performance are gonna be through the roof but I enjoyed it. That’s my girl! #BRITs’;
‘This performance before the 9pm watershed? oh Sabrina, I love you x some parents will end up complaining though let’s face it #BRITs.’
‘Ofcom after Sabrina’s Brits performance #BRITs #sabrinacapenter’;
‘Me cheering on Sabrina to be even more filthy and promiscuous to make all the Facebook mums complain more #BRITs’;

But the raunch performance split opinion among viewers with parents left outraged that it was allowed to air pre-watershed

Ofcom did not confirm to MailOnline whether it has received any complaints about the performance

ITV has also been contacted for comment.
Carpenter has previously defended her sexy stage persona telling The Sun: ‘My message has always been clear — if you can’t handle a girl who is confident in her own sexuality, then don’t come to my shows.’
US superstar Diana Ross livestreamed into the ceremony from her concert in Brooklyn in New York to announce Carpenter as the global success award recipient.
Collecting the award, Carpenter recalled coming to the UK for the first time 10 years ago when she said only around 10 people knew who she was, and contrasting that to being able to headline London’s O2 arena next week.
The singer added: ‘The Brits have given me this award, and this feels like such an insane honour in a very primarily tea-drinking country.
‘You guys streamed the s*** out of Espresso and and you streamed Short N’ Sweet and you really understood my dry sense of humour because your sense of humour is so so dry.
‘So I love y’all more than you even understand.’
Meanwhile, Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall’s first solo BRITs performance also left fans talking as one of her dancers flashed their bare bum during her show.

Meanwhile, others warned that not everyone may be a fan of the pre-watershed performance

And viewers were loving the sensual performance and innuendos as they rushed to X to praise the American popstar

Jade later spoke of her love for her ‘Little Mix sisters’ as she collected the best pop act award.
An emotional Thirlwall said: ‘Firstly, I need to thank the fans because that’s why I won this award. Thank you so much for supporting me and relentlessly forcing everyone around you to vote Jade. I love you guys so much. I’m so grateful.
‘All my family and friends who always believed in me, thank you for making me feel like it was a realistic goal to be a pop star ever since I was a little girl.
‘And finally, my Little Mix sisters. I love you so much. I wouldn’t have this award without you, and you changed my life, thank you.’
