Blokes with names beginning with two particular letters are largest hunks, says research

A new study has uncovered a telling trend, detailing how hot someone is based on the first letter of their name – and it’s very different for men and women

Blokes with first names beginning with ‘D’ and ‘T’ are the biggest hunks, while women whose name starts with a ‘M or a ‘J’ are hottest, a new study has revealed.

It comes after one popular name has disappeared from the top 100 baby names. Meanwhile, another study revealed the most commonly misspelt names.

Researchers quizzed 2,000 Brits to ask them to reveal the names of the three hottest people they have ever known in real life, including people they had dated, worked with or were pals with.

For women, fellas with names beginning with ‘D’ – like Donald Trump, Daniel Radcliffe and Daniel Craig- and ‘T’, like Timothee Chalamet, Tom Hardy and Tom Hiddleston, were in top spot.

For blokes, women with names starting with ‘M’, like Millie Bobby Brown, Margot Robbie and Madonna, and ‘J’, like Jennifer Aniston, J-Lo, and Julia Roberts, were most desirable.

According to the study by new dating app FindingTheOne, blokes with names beginning with ‘K’ and ‘G’ were least sexy, sorry Keir Starmer, Kevin Costner, Graham Norton and Gary Lineker.

Women whose names start with ‘L’ or ‘R’ were judged to be the least hot, meaning Lisa Snowdon, Lindsay Lohan, Rihanna, and Reese Witherspoon missed out.

Sylvia Linzalone, a dating expert at FindingTheOne, said: “It seems Donalds and Millies are top of the tree when it comes to attractiveness.

“But before we start handing out accolades based on initials alone, just remember that sparks fly when personalities mesh and chemistry ignites… not because of the first letter of your name.”

The hottest five blokes’ names began with the following letters;

1. D – 11%
2. T – 10 %
3. S – 8%
4. M – 7%
5. C – 7%

And the least hot blokes;

1. K – 1%
2. G – 1%
3. E – 2%
4. V – 2%
5. F – 3%

The five hottest women’s names were as follows;

1. M – 14%
2. J – 12%
3. P – 9%
4. N – 8%
5. E – 7%

And the least hot;

1. L – 1%
2. R – 1%
3. K – 2%
4. T – 3%
5. B – 3%
