Keira Knightley’s five-bedroom mansion from Black Doves is up for an eyewatering value

The stunning mansion from Netflix‘s Black Doves is on the market for an eye-watering sum after featuring as the family home of the Webbs in the hit series starring Keira Knightley

The Victorian property is nestled in the heart of a leafy suburb of south London‘s Crystal Palace and features a bespoke kitchen, five bedrooms, a cinema and a games room

Advertised with Hampton’s estate agents, the home is on sale for offers in excess of £5million.

Number 7 Tudor Road is set back with a simple black entry door, and surrounded by a large garden complete with terrace.

The ground floor contains a spacious kitchen-dining room complete with bespoke deVOL cabinets, a large island, double fridge and a sunlit nook.

Off the kitchen is a sitting-dining room with parquet floors, floor to ceiling windows and a large black fireplace with doors opening on to a grand terrace overlooking the garden.

It has four large bedrooms as well as a master bedroom, which has its own en-suite and dressing room. Meanwhile, the family bathroom comes complete with a walk-in shower and a free standing bathtub.

Downstairs in the basement is a games room showcasing a snooker table as well as a plush mini-cinema.

Outside, the garden includes a gravelled terraced area with an outdoor dining table and chairs. It leads down to a grassy lawn with plant borders.

While fans of the show may have gotten used to seeing Keira at the property – as she transformed in to a spy and had to choose between chasing down her lover’s assassin and the school run all the while juggling family commitments and contract killers – the home actually belongs to Lisa Thoy.

The breast cancer charity volunteer was originally house hunting in West Dulwich for a home close to Dulwich College where her sons go to school, The Times reports.

But after stepping foot in to the gorgeous property in 2016, she fell in love and after some major renovations, came to call the house her home.

Lisa told the publication that some of the other houses in the area looked too samey whereas this one stood out to her as unique.

And she wasn’t the only one to think so.

Almost as soon as she had signed her home up to Peerspace agency, who locate properties for filming and photoshoots, she got the call from Netflix.

The plush London property is rented out for £210 per hour, with a minimum booking time of six hours.

At first Lisa wasn’t sure about accepting the offer and was concerned about the possible disruption to her family’s life, but after seeing how much she could make from filming, she decided to go for it.

‘I was almost not even going to tell my husband about it because I thought it was too disruptive to our lives and there was no way he was going to agree to it.

‘But actually they made it worth our while and I thought, “OK, that’s quite a lot of money they’re offering. I’d better at least mention it.”‘

And luckily for her, she did and her husband agreed to the deal straight away although has not disclosed how much she made from the series.

Netflix’s production team moved the Thoy family to an unfurnished rental during filming, but the mother-of-two and one of her sons couldn’t help but let their curiosity get the better of them and went back to their home to watch it be transformed in to the Webb residence.

And there have even been some added benefits.

The crew built a shed at the bottom of the garden where where Elmore Fitch (played by Paapa Essiedu) is killed, and after filming Netflix let the Thoys keep the shed which has proved a godsend for Lisa.

Her son now uses it to play music and store his gym equipment meaning she has been able to reclaim her beloved garden room.

Since her home has found itself in the spotlight, Lisa has tried to find out some more about her stunning property but with little success.

However, with the help of historian Melanie Backe-Hansen, she has learned that the large detached mansions were first built to have countryside views but have slowly been swallowed up by London’s expansion.

The Victorian pile was first built for William Morris, a retired surgeon who lived there with two servants and who died just a few years later aged 66.

After his death, Mr Morris’s sisters moved in the house, followed by two families and retired naval captain Halton Stirling Lecky, who moved in in 1939.

Despite the success of Black Doves and the love Lisa and her family have for their home, they’ve decided to downsize now their children have moved out.

She said that they loved living in Crystal palace but the house has got too much for them and she doesn’t need 6,000 sq ft any more.
