Royal Navy recruit dies throughout coaching at Cornwall navy base
A Royal Navy recruit has died at a military base in Cornwall following training.
The recruit passed away at HMS Raleigh, Torpoint, on Tuesday, March 11.
The Royal Navy said an investigation will be launched into the circumstances of the death.
A spokesperson said: ‘It is with great sadness that we can confirm that a member of the Royal Navy died at HMS Raleigh following routine training on Tuesday, March 11.
‘Our thoughts are with the family and all those affected at this sad time.
‘An investigation into the circumstances will take place and it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time’.
