Female Tesla driver brutally attacked and repeatedly punched in savage act of street rage
The incident was captured on video and occurred on Route 66 near Flagstaff, Arizona after the victim said she was being followed by a car who boxxed her in and then attacked her
A Tesla driver was subjected to a brutal attack after another driver trapped her in with his car and began to repeatedly punch her.
The driver, who wishes to remain anonymous so is known only as “Susan”, revealed that she was chased by a car on Route 66 near Flagstaff, Arizona.
She said: “I didn’t buy my car for a political statement. I bought my car because its really fun to drive. My politics have nothing to do with that. I’m ashamed of our society and what they are doing.”
According to KTVK, Susan has video evidence of the incident which shows a driver in a green car approaching her, swerving in front of her, and then boxing her in.
She told the station that the driver then exited his vehicle, approached her while she was in her Tesla, and began hitting her.
“I started to say, ‘You cut me off, what’s your problem,’ but I didn’t know how much he heard me,” Susan recounted to KTVK. “He got out and started to punch me with a closed fist.”
She told the station that she quickly bit her attacker’s hand; at one point, the man can be seen on camera shaking and removing his hand from the Tesla. Shortly afterwards, the male driver’s passenger is seen exiting the green car, pulling the attacker away, and then driving off.
Police reported that Robert Artherton, 33, was reprimanded and is due in court on Monday.
Authorities were summoned to “a road rage incident that escalated into a violent encounter” around 12:30 p. m., as per the police statement. Investigators revealed that a Tesla and a Chevrolet Cavalier were involved in the collision, according to a report by KSAZ-TV on March 19.
The incident has stirred controversy as Tesla dealerships and drivers have been targeted in recent weeks, seemingly in retaliation for Musk, the CEO of the electric vehicle company, holding a key role in President Trump’s White House.
A criminal complaint reveals that a dealership was subjected to a graffiti and Molotov cocktail attack in March, causing damage estimated between $5,000 and $20,000. The suspect pleaded not guilty.
The three culprits charged with vandalism against the electric vehicle manufacturer could face up to 20 years in prison, according to US Attorney General Pam Bondi.
This comes after the Trump administration decide to declare Tesla vandalism “domestic terrorism.”
