Ebanie Bridges has opened up on her journey from bodybuilder to boxer in a new podcast.

The Blonde Bomber has previously shared her unique career path with her fans, which has also seen her work as both a ring girl and a high school maths teacher in the past. Prior to becoming a professional boxer, Bridges won awards as a bodybuilder and has been known to share throwback pictures on social media in recent months.

She has now opened up about her journey in the latest episode of iFL TV’s RAW: The Fight Within podcast, which was released on Monday.

In a teaser for the podcast, Bridges explains: “I got a second chance at life and look at me, I’m killing it, you know what I mean. I could have gone two ways and be very different. Like I don’t think I’d even be here.”

An emotional Bridges also added: “I’m all about no quit. No matter what I do and no matter how hard it gets, I do not quit.”

Teasing one anecdote in particular, the 35-year-old Australian fighter also dramatically explains a incident where someone “ripped her whole mouth open with a big fish hook.”

She is yet to have her first title defence confirmed and has also teased the possibility of appearing on a reality show later this year before returning to the ring.

Having appeared on SAS Australia: Who Dares Wins earlier this year, Bridges had teased fans she could sign up for Strictly Come Dancing even if she “can’t dance for s***”.

Bridges also remains amongst the favourites to appear on the next series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here. Asked how she would cope with the iconic eating challenges, she admitted: “To be fair, I don’t mind a bit of testes.”
