Woman flies to Benidorm to ‘put males to disgrace’ – and does so in beneath 7 minutes

Leah Shutkever, 35, was fed up of seeing men ‘letting the nation down’ in a mammoth eating challenge so she flew to Benidorm to tackle it herself – and won

A British woman grew so frustrated with our blokes “letting the nation down” in a massive eating challenge that she jetted off to Benidorm to take it on herself – and triumphed.

Leah Shutkever’s triumph at Uncle Ron’s café in the holiday hotspot “put men to shame” as she demolished a 40-item full English breakfast in under seven minutes. The 35-year-old had spotted social media clips of “embarrassing” efforts to beat the 3,500-calorie “belly buster” challenge and so she travelled to Spain with that single mission.

And within hours of touching down, Leah, from Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, wolfed down the four sausages, four bacon rashers, four fried eggs, four hash browns, four halves of toast, six tomatoes, half a large tin of baked beans, 10 mushrooms and two pieces of fried bread in minutes, obliterating the establishment’s record.

The bar’s owner, Georgia Smith, was amazed she finished it so rapidly. She said: “She just came in and smashed the record. It wasn’t surprising that she completed the challenge but I didn’t expect her to do it that quickly. She’s put the men to shame. 100%”

Leah conquered the challenge, which has a success rate of just 3%, in a record time of six minutes and 45 seconds. The holidaymaker, who weighs just 11 stone and stands just 5ft 8in tall, chose to use her hands to pile the items into her mouth rather than any cutlery, reports the Mirror.

“The British men were letting everyone down so I had to go over there and sort it out. I’ve been tagged in this challenge thousands of times and told I have to go and represent the UK because the British people are embarrassing us,” Leah, a former biking model, said today.

“I was very confident and I’ve got many years of experience but my intention was to present a video and not just go all-out on the food without talking about it.

“When the last minute came I went for it because people said I had a minute left so I shut up. When I finished everyone was so happy. I don’t think anyone thought that record would be eaten because it was so good. The response was great because I don’t look like your typical competitive eater.”

Leah, who claims she starved herself for roughly 16 hours prior to the challenge, then chose to spend two days soaking up the Benidorm sunshine before jetting back to the UK. Having demolished the meal in under 20 minutes, she bagged herself an Uncle Ron’s-branded T-shirt – plus the ultimate boasting rights.

The breakfast is priced at just Euro 12 (£10.39) but diners who polish it off within the 20-minute window get it completely free. Leah, a former architect and interior designer, absolutely obliterated this time limit – leaving social media users stunned.

One person remarked: “Wow lady you have put the men to shame.”

Another declared: “Might as well jack it in as nobody’s ever beating that time.”

A third chimed in: “I’ve only heard her before and never seen her. I always assumed she was built like a fridge.”
