KSI digs out Jake Paul revealing he’ll fight twice on same night – including a pro boxer

KSI looks set to have his hands full after announcing that he will compete in two boxing matches on the same night, but he still found the time to fire a shot at Jake Paul.

The British YouTuber confirmed his plans on social media on Tuesday, revealing that he will take on rapper Swarmz and Bulgarian pro boxer Ivan Nikolov on the same show later this month. The Londoner was initially due to face fellow YouTuber Alex Wassabi, but he had to pull out with concussion.

Instead, he will take on Swarmz and Nikolov, who has won three of his 21 paid bouts. KSI explained the double-header on YouTuber – where else – and aimed a cheeky dig at Paul in the process.

“Its never been done before in YouTube boxing,” he said. “In fact, I don’t think it has ever been done in normal boxing on pay-per-view. We asked Bryce Hall, we asked Dax, we asked Vinnie Hacker, we asked Taylor Holder and they either didn’t want it or couldn’t do it.

“So we decided to fight someone who would beat all of the people I mentioned before. I am fighting a pro boxer for my second fight, on the same night. I am fighting Swarmz and a Bulgarian boxer on the same night. Am I insane? Probably? Am I crazy? Probably? Is this ridiculous? Probably.

He then turned his attention to Paul, joking: “Believe it or not I’m fighting a professional fighter before Jake Paul and he had a three-year head start. Let me talk about the pro boxer I am facing; his name is Ivan Nikolov and he can bang. This guy is a big boy and I don’t really want to stay on the inside too much with him.

“He is going to be the most durable fighter Iv’e ever faced, he loves to f**ing swing and he has decent head movement; he can take bangs. He’s a pro boxer and he knows how to stay safe; what the f*** am I doing?! I know you’re wondering what his boxing record is; he’s 3-16-2, so yes that’s three wins and 16 losses but that’s still more wins than any of Jake Paul’s opponents combined.

“This guy is a scary motherf***er, and Jake Paul, before you pipe up, why don’t you fight him after me? We can do a challenge together, see if you can beat him in a quicker time than I can. This whole thing is crazy and the funny thing is this all started with me fighting Alex Wassabi.

“This was supposed to be my warm-up to get rid of the ring rust so that I was active enough to eventually fight Jake Paul. But then Alex pulled out and Jake tried to ruin my event so I had to work hard to turn this ‘L’ into a ‘W’ and I thought why not make my life harder and do the unthinkable and fight not one, but two people on August 27.”
