Eerie CCTV reveals pupil working down busy road earlier than he vanished 11 days in the past
Haunting CCTV footage of a student racing down a street could be a clue to his mysterious disappearance as his ‘devastated’ family appeal for sightings

Leicestershire Police share CCTV of missing Aryan Sharma
Police have shared footage of a missing student jogging down a street as they urgently seek fresh witnesses who can help get him back to his desperate loved ones.
Aryan Sharma, 20, was last seen at about 12.30am on November 23 on the outskirts of Loughborough in Leicestershire. He left his accommodation at around 9.30pm and was walking towards Stanford-on-the-Soar before he vanished.
The Loughborough University student is described as Asian, 5ft 5ins tall, of a slim build with collar length black hair. He was last seen wearing a black trench coat, shorts and black trainers with a white trim. His “devastated” family have said they “just want to find him safe”.
Leicestershire Police have now shared footage of Aryan running along a road in Loughborough town centre as their urgent search nears its second week.
Detectives are asking anybody with information on the robotics student’s whereabouts to get in the touch as soon as possible.
Detective Inspector Jonathan Dickens said: “We are piecing together Ayran’s movements from the time he left his student accommodation in the Woodgate area of Loughborough at 9.20pm on Friday night until he was last seen at 12.30am on Meadow Lane, walking away from the town centre.
“Any additional witness sightings, dash camera footage and CCTV are really important to further our enquiries. Did you see a man matching Aryan’s description wearing a long black trench coat walking along the road in the early hours?
“Did you see or capture anything that could assist us in establishing exactly where he has gone next?”
The family has already appealed to the public. Aryan’s cousin Jagi Sawhney, speaking for the family, said: “Our biggest concern now is that no one in the family has spoken to him since at least Friday.
“It’s been really cold since he has been missing, and we haven’t been able to get in contact with him. We just want him to be okay, and we want him to come home to his mum. Please help locate him. He’s loved by everyone in this family, and we just want him home safely.
“No matter how small the information might be, please support the investigation and share that information with police so that we can just find him and get him home.
He also shared a message directly for his cousin. “If Aryan sees this, we want him to know how loved he is. We want him to know how much we all just want him to come home. He is a loved grandson, son and uncle. Everyone is rallying around to try and find him.”
The force said they had been carrying out extensive enquiries to establish Aryan’s movements that night.
But they are still keen to hear from any motorists or pedestrians who may have seen him walking along Meadow Lane, Stanford Lane or the surrounding area between 12.15am and 2am on Saturday morning.
A force spokesperson added: “Extensive police resources have been deployed to support the missing person investigation – including trained search officers, the force drone, police dogs, police divers, the National Police Air Service (NPAS) and the specialist volunteers from Leicestershire Search and Rescue (SAR).
“Alongside the search, officers and detectives have been reviewing hours of CCTV footage, reviewing phone data and gathering vital information from witnesses who have already come forward.”
Anyone who can assist is asked to contact Leicestershire police on 101, quoting incident 208 of November 23.
