Ex-doctor at UK hospital charged with sexual offences towards 38 sufferers, together with a toddler
A former doctor at Stoke-on-Trent’s main hospital has been charged with 45 sexual offences against 38 patients . Nathaniel John Spencer, aged 38, of had Quinton, Birmingham worked at the Royal Stoke University Hospital and Russells Hall Hospital, in Dudley.
Staffordshire Police carried out a ‘complex’ investigation code-named Operation Anzu, Stoke-on-Trent Live reports.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Former practicing doctor Nathaniel John Spencer, who is British, has been charged with 15 counts of sexual assault, 17 counts of assault by penetration, nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13, three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration, and one count of attempted assault by penetration.

“It follows a complex investigation by our public protection unit into sexual offences at the Royal Stoke University Hospital and Russells Hall Hospital. He is due to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 20 January.”
