Edinburgh Asda swarmed by police after girl dies outdoors retailer as space taped off
Police were at the scene of an Edinburgh Asda supermarket on Wednesday (December 10) morning after a woman had tragically died.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on New Market Road at around 7:05am to the branch.
Three police vehicles were in attendance alongside paramedics nut sadly the 64-year-old was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances around the death but police had cordoned off the area for a short period.
As reported by Edinburgh Live, multiple officers were seen carrying out inquiries both inside and outside the supermarket following the tragic death.

Police had cordoned off a section of pavement near the store and he steps leading up to the supermarket were also taped off.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.05 am on Wednesday, 10 December, we received a report of a woman unwell in the New Market Road area of Edinburgh.
“Emergency services attended and the 64-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. There are no suspicious circumstances.”
A Scottish Ambulance Spokesperson said: “We received a call at 06:54 hours today to attend an incident on New Mart Road in Edinburgh and we dispatched several resources to the scene.”
