BREAKING Met Police enhance patrols of Jewish communities after Bondi Beach terror assault

The Metropolitan Police is increasing visibility in Jewish communities ahead of Hanukkah events, confirmed London Mayor Sadiq Khan. It comes after 12 people were confirmed dead in the horrifying Bondi Beach terror attack. A further 29 people including children have been injured.

Sadiq Khan wrote on X: “My thoughts and condolences – along with the rest of London – are with everyone affected by the horrific attack at Bondi Beach, Australia today. The Met Police are increasing their visibility in our Jewish communities ahead of any Chanukah events.”

Among the victims was Rabbi Eli Schlanger from the Chabad of Bondi. Mere hours before the tragic event, Rabbi Schlanger had been promoting the event on his Facebook page. “BOOK BOOK BOOK for your free donut,” he posted. Rabbi Schlanger’s friend, Eliezer Tewel, shared a heartfelt tribute following the news of his death.
