Club Brugge midfielder Hans Vanaken is ‘more open than ever’ to a Premier League move, as West Ham set about preparing a second offer.
David Moyes‘ side made an initial offer of £10 million for the 29-year-old but this was considered far too low by Brugge.
According to reports in Nieuwsblad, Vanaken is open to the move as he sees it as a last chance for a move to top European league.

David Moyes wants to freshen up his squad after starting the season with two straight defeats
He has recently become a father, but relocating is not thought to be an issue for the Belgium international.
However, Nieuwsblad also indicated that Brugge are unwiling to sell their star midfielder, as he is their captain and has been a key player since signing in 2015.
West Ham will be keen to improve their squad after a lacklustre start to their Premier League campaign.
Ben Johnson has been playing out-of-position at centre back in an injury hit West Ham defence
They were beaten comfortably by title-favourites Manchester city in their first game of the season, but will be more concerned at losing 1-0 to newly-promoted Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
David Moyes’ side have been linked with a number of defensive options including Emerson and Eric Bailly, as injuries have forced Ben Johnson to play out-of-position at centre back.
Players like Vanaken could be equally as important to a Hammers side that is yet to score Premier League goal this season.
