A globally known Dubai sheikh with almost 15million Instagram followers went completely unnoticed in the London Underground without his traditional robes on.
Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum made use of London‘s tubes while on holiday to the UK with his family and friends last week.
The Prince had been sharing updates of his trip to his 14.5million followers on Instagram – which includes the likes of football stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Pogba as well as former England cricket captain Kevin Pietersen.
Sheikh Hamdan, not in his traditional robe, posted a photo on his account of him and his friend Badr Ateej looking slightly fed up with the capital’s underground system. The caption said: ‘We’ve got a long way to go and Badr is already bored’.

The pair can be seen standing in a crowded carriage but fellow passengers are none the wiser that they are in the presence of a Crown Prince.
Many of his followers found it very amusing that no one had realised who he was without his robes on. One commented on the post: ‘These poor people have no idea with whom they are travelling’.
Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was also spotted joining Sheikh Hamdan on his London holiday.
The sheikh, who goes by Fazza, on his Instagram account might have have survived the London Underground without being noticed but during a visit to the capital in July, a viral clip showed the Prince being recognised by what appears to be an excited mother and son.

The video was posted by his friend Ahmad Jaber Al Harbi, also followed by Cristiano Ronaldo and Kevin Pietersen, and the caption said: ‘When a Dubai resident spotted @faz3 in #London’.
‘Fazza’ is no stranger to fame after meeting Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, during a tour of the UAE pavilion at Expo2020.
The event, which was postponed due to Covid-19, was the first World Expo to be hosted in the Arab world and is also the largest event ever held in the region.

Sheikh Hamdan, who has regularly been photographed with his friend Cristiano Ronaldo, also met up with the Manchester United forward at Expo2020.
The pair explored the World’s deepest pool in Dubai which is 196 feet deep and features abandoned homes and an arcade.
Ronaldo spoke to the public at the delayed World Expo event in January 2022 after former United manager Ralf Rangnick gave the players permission to enjoy a winter break.

The sheikh is known to be quite the globetrotter and is often seen touring different parts of the world.
According to his Instagram, after leaving London, he then went to Serbia’s capital, Belgrade. He has been exploring exhibitions and posted a picture of a mural of Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic.
Sheikh Hamdan’s last update showed him leaving Belgrade on an aeroplane as he sets off to whatever his next destination may be.
