Digital banks are trumping their more traditional rivals when it comes to customer service.
More than 80 per cent of those who have a current account with Starling Bank, Monzo or First Direct are likely to recommend the bank to friends and family, according to a survey by the Competition and Markets Authority.
But less than half of customers using TSB, Virgin Money or the Royal Bank of Scotland said the same.
Starling Bank and Monzo also came out on top for online and mobile banking, while Virgin Money was ranked last.
Jenny Ross, Which? money editor, says: ‘The banking giants in the bottom half of these rankings should up their game if they are to retain customers.’
