Muscle man Anthony Joshua ready for Oleksandr Usyk – ‘Beast mode activated’

Anthony Joshua has reassured fans that he is in top shape ahead of Saturday’s showdown with Oleksandr Usyk, by posting an impressive Instagram picture showing his Hulk-like physique.

Joshua, aged 32, posted the picture with the comment: “Loco”, while in another training picture the London 2012 Olympics gold medallist said: “Seek to destroy.” In his first fight against Usyk last September, the British heavyweight was criticised for trying to out-box his Russian opponent which resulted in a defeat by decision.

Experts have encouraged the six foot five inches British boxer, who weighed in at 17st 2lb for the first fight, to make a muscle transformation ahead of the rematch.

And it appears as if he has listened to that advice, with the toned picture of Joshua ahead of Saturday’s fight impressing fans with many tipping him to win back the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO world titles he surrendered to Usyk last year.

Posting on Instagram, @arafat_jaffar compared Joshua to a Hulk-like figure, he said: “Beast mode activated, can I get three times champion.”

This view was supported by @smoothboyjoe who added: “That’s a bad man right there. Let’s get back those belts #HairAJisback”

Joshua’s fans have tipped the British fighter to knock Usyk out when the pair meet in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night, @elsurgegeoscience said that one Joshua punch could win the fight: “Speed in killer punch… can guarantee AJ win.”

Others think that Joshua will have to stop Usyk, thinking that the longer the 12-round fight goes on the better his Russian opponent will become, with @damion__84 replying: “I like AJ but you are right he has to knock him out. Which he’s more than capable of doing.

“If it starts going past 9-10 rounds he’s in trouble as Usyk takes people into the late rounds and switches up his gears.”
