Chelsea’s US flop Christian Pulisic ‘keen’ on switch to crisis club Man Utd

Chelsea flop Christian Pulisic is reportedly keen on leaving the club for Manchester United this summer.

The United States international has been largely frozen out by Thomas Tuchel since his arrival after a series of tepid performances. Tipped as the heir to Eden Hazard, Pulisic now struggles to even come off the bench – let alone start games at Stamford Bridge.

The 23-year-old has been linked with a move away all summer at Chelsea, whose new owners hail from the USA, though there have been a lack of suitors. However, the latest reports indicate that United are interested in the forward.

And according to The Athletic, Pulisic is also keen on such a move and would be happy to join the Red Devils. The American is frustrated at Chelsea where he does not believe he has been afforded enough minutes.

With the 2022 World Cup coming up this winter, the winger is keen on as much first-team football as possible, as a vital player for his country. The Blues understand his concerns and are willing to sanction a loan.

However, whether they would strengthen a rival such as United remains to be seen – despite Pulisic making the club his preferred option. Chelsea have already offloaded several attacking players such as Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku, while Callum Hudson-Odoi and Hakim Ziyech have also been linked with exits.

Injuries have not been kind to Pulisic during his time in London while last year he made just 22 appearances in the Premier League. Newcastle have also been interested in the former Borussia Dortmund star, who want him to play as a 10 or an 8.
