Manchester United fans are hopeful Cristiano Ronaldo will “expose” the club’s hierarchy after he promised to give his side of the story.
Ronaldo took to Instagram on Tuesday (August 16) to slam the “lies” about his saga with the Red Devils, which has reportedly seen him push to leave Old Trafford this summer after a disastrous 2021/22 season.
He wrote: “They know the truth when they interview in a couple weeks. The media is telling lies. I have a notebook and in the last few month of the 100 news I made, only five were right. Imagine how it is. Stick with that tip.”

His comments sent shockwaves through the United fanbase, with one supporter writing: “God he’s gonna expose us so hard.” A fellow fan replied: “And I embrace it.”
Another said: “As he should. He is Cristiano Ronaldo, the GOAT and those nobody’s are trying to gain media attention through his name. He will shut them up.”
“Good, it’s needed,” added one. And one posted: “Hope he does that and I so hope there is some mention of Glazers in it.”

Another fan is eagerly anticipating a roasting of United’s owners from Ronaldo. They replied: “This interview better put the nail in the coffin for the Glazers, I hope he exposes them to the core, leaving them with no choice but to sell. That would be worth all the pain…”
Some were more sceptical, though. One argued: “He’s gonna wait till the window is over before saying he never wanted to leave and our fans are gonna lap it up.”
A second echoed: “Couple of weeks…you mean when the window ends? One regular day as a United fan, that’s all I ask.”
