The photo showed one at the end of her hosepipe as it supposedly filled up with water, reports The Sun.
The end of her hosepipe can be seen in one of the large containers as it is presumably filled up with water.
She posted about the brazen thief on the Stokenchurch Community Group Facebook page and urged others to be beware.
The intruder was described to be wearing a white shirt, dark trousers and boots.
The woman said: “Some cheeky b**** came into my garden today and filled up his watering containers, caught on camera, make sure your gates are fully locked.
“Won’t be doing it again as tap will now be turned off.”
She added that she was “sick” of having to “nail everything down or lock everything up like Fort Knox”.
It is unclear as to whether she reported the incident to the authorities.
It comes as parts of the UK have been issued with a hosepipe ban which will affect millions of residents.
The restrictions were announced following a record-breaking July which saw Brits bask in scorching heat.
The sizzling weather sparked the driest July since 1935 for majority of the UK.
But the Met Office have since issued a yellow weather warnings and have predicted thunderstorm and torrential rain in several areas.
