A Metropolitan Police traffic officer has been arrested after allegations he robbed motorists while on duty and used their money to pay for sex with prostitutes.
The officer reportedly pulled over drivers with an unmarked police vehicle and allegedly presented his warrant card before confiscating money and possessions.
He reportedly ‘pressured victims’ into handing over their cash and belongings ‘just because he was a police officer’.

This comes as the latest scandal within the Met after a long series led to the downfall and resignation of Dame Cressida Dick (pictured) as police commissioner
Then, he used the drivers’ stolen cash to pay for prostitutes in brothels ‘several times a week while on duty’, a source told the Sun.
The long-serving officer was arrested last Wednesday by anti-corruption police.
He was held in custody on suspicion of ‘corruption, misconduct in public office and related offences’, and later released under investigation.
The anti-corruption police officers seized his mobile phone for analysis of phone and internet records.
The officer has reportedly been suspended by the force.
The Sun also reported that the officer is also facing an investigation into suspected links with organised crime in the Midlands.

This comes as the latest scandal within the Met after a long series led to the downfall and eventual resignation of Dame Cressida Dick as police commissioner.
Other scandals include the murder of Sarah Everard by serving officer Wayne Couzens and officers taking photos of murder victims Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman.
