A glamorous Chicago woman has been accused of repeatedly booking appointments for pricey hair appointments and then leaving without paying after claiming she has to pay her parking meter.
The woman, who has not been named and has not been charged by authorities, allegedly scammed salon owners Krysta Rojas and Lisa Caputo, who have both filed police reports against her.
The young woman allegedly gets her hair done and just as the appointment is about to finish, she asks the hairdresser to quickly dip out to pay her parking meter, leaving the establishments in the cape and hair clips to make it believable.
Her latest scam hit Base Salon in the West Loop, which is owned by Rojas, on Friday. The young woman reportedly had a five-hour appointment to get her hair colored, tallying a bill upward of $1,200.

‘Yes, [it’s a] pretty high-end service,’ Rojas told CBS News. ‘I feel like people oftentimes think they can take advantage of small businesses.’
Rojas would later find out that the woman did the same thing her friend, Caputo, after finding her on social media.
She managed to match the suspected woman in the TikTok to the video she had taken in her salon that day.
The alleged scammer had posted a TikTok video of her wearing a cape from Salon 833, owned by Caputo, in River West.
‘She did the same thing to us [in May],’ Caputo told CBS News. ‘Toward the end of her service — her color was finished completely, started to blow dry – that’s when the client asked if she could go pay her meter.’
She said it ‘financially’ hurt her business.
A third salon has also reportedly canceled the woman’s upcoming appointment after finding out about her ruse online, CBS News claimed.

Now Rojas is criticizing the cheap woman, saying: ‘This wasn’t given to me. I worked really hard. No one gave me anything when I built this from the ground up.
‘If you want nice things, you should work for them.’
The woman, who was contacted by CBS News, told the outlet ‘my lawyer advised me not to make any comments going forward, because at this point we’re definitely going to take legal action with a letter of cease and desist.’
She declined to comment on whether or not her accusers were wrong.
