Kate and William ditch ‘dream’ as couple put George, Charlotte and Louis ahead of firm

A tough choice for the Cambridge family appears to have been made, with the senior royals deserting their “dream” to raise their three children ahead of Royal Family plans.

Their change in residency, moving from Kensington Palace in London to Adelaide Cottage east of Windsor Castle appears to mark that change of pace for Prince William and Kate Middleton, a royal expert claimed.

It would appear they wish to live “as normal a life as possible” with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Despite the family’s initial “dream” of living in London, the pair appear to have given that up to raise their children, the expert claimed.

An anonymous source was reported by royal expert Omid Scobie, who said that the family’s original dream of London had changed.

Royal commentator Scobie wrote: “Though London was originally the dream, it became increasingly apparent to the Duke and Duchess that living in the middle of Kensington Gardens may not be the best place for Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, four, as they grow up.

“They thought about moving to [their home in] Norfolk, but as active senior working royals they could never be that far away from London, so that’s where Windsor came into the picture,’ says the source.”

Claims from expert Scobie also allege that the family have opted to privately rent the Grade II listed property, rather than purchase it outright.

A change of scenery for the Cambridge family is set to offer up the three children a little more freedom during leisure time, away from the busy state of London living.

The trio of children were protected by walls and guards in their London home, needing a security detail if they wanted to step outside of the grounds.

But a new home in Windsor and the 665-acres of land should provide ample area for the youngsters to enjoy their leisure time on grounds covered by well-established Crown Estate security, Daily Express reported.
