Read the harsh letter NRL fan, 92, wrote to superstar Cameron Munster: ‘You’re not worth $1million’

Cameron Munster is having one of his best seasons of rugby league in 2022, but one outraged fan in his 90s is not a fan and has penned a harshly critical letter to the Melbourne Storm star.

George McCracken, 92, has unleashed on Munster, telling him he’s ‘not worth a million’ and accusing him of having a big ego.

The elderly footy diehard didn’t mince words with his one-page dressing-down of the 27-year-old star.

Gun five-eighth Munster, 27, is rumoured to be signing a deal with the Dolphins for the 2024 season

‘Firstly let me say I am 92 and have watched football all my life,’ Mr McCracken writes.

‘Once there (was a player) playing for Roosters called Soward who tried for penalties so much he was known as Milky.

‘Now you are just the same. You call for penalties every time one of your team’s opponents is slow getting off.

‘But when your side does the same, you think it’s okay – well it’s not.

‘So, Milky. The ref is not conned by you. Now your ego is as big as an elephant because the press say so. I will tell you now of many five-eighths better.

‘(Wally) Lewis, (Brett) Kenny, (Terry) Lamb to mention a few, and none of them strutted like you. In my opinion you’re not worth one million as the media says. You’re just another player.’

Mr McCracken then left a return address at the foot of his letter on the off chance the Storm player chooses to write him back.

Munster, who has firmly established himself as the best five-eighth in the NRL this year, is rumoured to be signing on with the Dolphins for the 2024 season in an eye-watering deal that will see him earn $1.3million a season.

The superstar playmaker has had a very public battle with alcohol and gambling addiction, which led him to stay in a rehab centre in 2021 following the infamous ‘white-powder scandal’ that saw him and Brandon Smith punished by the club.

Munster, who doesn’t drink anymore, has had an outstanding run of form for the Storm and the Maroons this season.
