Grace Hughes: Five year old girl found 12 days after she was allegedly abducted in Berrimah, Darwin

Five-year old girl Grace Hughes – who has been missing for 12 days – has been located safe and well.

On Friday shortly after 2pm Northern Territory Police released a statement saying they had located Grace and her mother Laura Hinks.

The pair had been missing since August 7 when Grace was allegedly abducted from the Berrimah area, in Darwin’s east.

The mother and daughter vanished after a supervised parental visit when Ms Hinks, 34, left an address at about 1pm on Hidden Valley Road.

Grace Hughes and her mother Laura Hinks, also known as Laura Bolt, (pictured) have been found safe and well on Friday

Police say Grace is receiving a medical check but is in good physical condition.

Her mother Ms Hinks, is currently assisting police with their inquiries.

During the search for the missing girl, Northern Territory Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Jon Beer said the group that took Grace continued ‘to peddle ideologies and false information’.

Police have ramped up efforts to reunite the little girl (pictured) with her ‘lawful guardian’ and will focus their efforts on the individuals allegedly responsible

Just days after their disappearance police appealed to individuals they believed were working to keep Grace actively hidden.

NT Police announced on Saturday they had charged a 50-year-old woman in connection with Grace’s disappearance.

She appeared in court in Darwin on Monday on one count of abducting a child under 16 and one count of attempting to abduct a child under 16.

The woman allegedly refused to provide police with information to find the girl and her mother.
