Manchester United will have to try and rush through their transfer of Casemiro by midday on Friday so that he can be eligible to face Liverpool on Monday night.
The Brazilian star is set for a move to the Red Devils from Real Madrid after the clubs agreed a £60m fee for the 30-year-old.
It comes after Casemiro told Real Madrid on Wednesday evening that he wished to move to Erik ten Hag‘s team after nine glorious years in the Spanish capital.
However, United face a race against time if they want him to make his debut against their fierce rivals, with Premier League rules stating that for him to play in the top flight this weekend, transfers have to be completed by Friday midday.
It will be a huge ask for United to get the deal through in time at this point, with Casemiro only due to have his medical this weekend.
