New Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel doubles down on Tua’s Tagovailoa accuracy

Miami Dolphins head coach sat down for an interview on the Dan Lebatard show with Stu Gotz and made several very interesting remarks. One of the more noteworthy ones was him doubling down on new wide receiver Tyreek Hill’s comments on quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Hill drew attention earlier this summer after stating and then restating that he feels Tagovailoa throws the ball more accurately than Hills former QB Patrick Mahomes.

‘Tua actually has one of the prettiest balls I’ve ever caught him in my life… Tua is a very accurate QB,’ Hill previously said.

McDaniel was asked about those comments and choose to agree with his new receiver.

‘It’s the most accurate, catchable ball I’ve ever seen.’ McDaniel said. He then went on to describe how Tagovailoa throws and how it was useful to his plans, before being asked by the interview host if he was sure about his comment.

McDaniel then paused for a second before shrugging and simply replying ‘yeah’.

Along with making headline worthy claims about his QB McDaniel went on to describe the process of the Dolphins trading for Tyreek Hill from his point of view.

‘Tell them they can have everything!’, he said to Dolphins general manager Chris Grier as he made a motion resembling pushing poker chips to the middle of the table.

McDaniel proceeded to tell part of the story when he spook to Hill on the phone preparing to try and convince the receiver to ask for a trade to the Dolphins as opposed to another team, just for Hill to cut off his recruiting pitch and say he was already en route to the Dolphins.

McDaniel went on to make another comment laminating Miami’s playoff drought and how it is one of the main factors that motivated him to take the Dolphins job… aside from the nice whether and a chance to finally coach in the AFC East.

‘It’s been 22 years since they’ve won a playoff game… There’s so many fan bases that feel entitled. That will not be the case in Miami,’ he said.

Ending the playoff drought will be McDaniel’s main goal as he takes over a Dolphins team that parted ways with former head coach Brian Flores following a 9-8 season.
