Playboy’s Bridget Marquardt says Hugh Hefner lasted ‘one minute’ on first night together

A former girlfriend of Hugh Hefner has opened up about the first night that she was encouraged to sleep with the Playboy tycoon.

Bridget Marquardt was one of Hefner’s most prominent “girlfriends”, starring alongside Kendra Wilkinson and Holly Madison in the popular Girls Next Door TV series.

Since Hefner died aged 91 in 2017, a number of stories of wild drug-fuelled sex parties have emerged, with Holly Madison opening up about her “gross” first romp with Hefner.

Now, speaking on the Juicy Scoop podcast with Heather McDonald, Bridget has shared her own story of being recruited into Hef’s inner circle.

She also revealed how she learned that girls were expected to sleep with the entrepreneur on her first Playboy night out.

“I was still just going to watch, and then [one of the Playmates] was like, ‘aren’t you going to go? You need to go’.

“I was like, ‘I would rather not’, and she was like, ‘well then you probably won’t be invited back’.

“I’d seen what everybody else was doing, so I knew that this was like a ten second thing, I mean definitely no more than a minute… It’s short.”

So Bridget went ahead with the deed, but admitted that she had been fearful about catching a sexually transmitted disease on future occasions when she slept with Hefner.

“After that first night, I wanted to be first because there was no way that I wanted to go in after other people,” she remembered.

“You’re hoping that everyone is being checked out and is being monogamous to that relationship, but you don’t know.

“If there were new girls coming up, which there often were, I just wanted to be first and to be done. I felt like that was the cleanest way to be in and out of it.”

Bridget was speaking on the podcast with her friend Holly Madison – and the pair suggested that after the success of the Girls Next Door show, the obligation to have sex with Hefner had stopped.

“It stopped at some point, because the thing that kind of drove him before was he was high off the attention of going out with seven girlfriends and constantly trying to get new people upstairs,” she recalled.

“Then when the show came along, he loved the show, obsessed with the show, it was such a big ego boost for him that he didn’t really care about going out or trying to get new people to sleep with him anymore.”

Bridget eventually quit the mansion after six years and now indulges her passion for the paranormal by hosting a podcast about ghostly experiences – where she revealed that she can sometimes hear the ‘ghost’ of her dead dog in her house.
