The down-to earth Duchess of Cambridge was spotted on a basic economy flight as she travelled to Balmoral Castle to join Her Majesty the Queen at Balmoral in the Scottish Highlands.
Kate Middleton, 40, was seen by stunned fellow-passengers boarding the plane with her children Charlotte, seven, and Louis, four.
Her husband Prince William is understood to have travelled separately with the third in line to the throne, nine year-old Prince George.

One amazed TikTok user shared a video of Kate disembarking the plane.
They said: “On a flight to Scotland, Kate Middleton, both kids, nanny and security 2 rows in front of me”

“Could get a private jet or helicopter but keeping it simple, flying economy,” they added.
“She even got up halfway through the flight to get her daughter’s iPad”

“And yes she was stunning, even gave me a smile while looking back at row behind her to talk to her son.
“No one on board took any photos or videos.
“Just a mum taking her children on holiday to see grandmother, but there was a buzz on board.”

When the Cambridges’ summer break ends, they’re expected to make the luxurious Adelaide Cottage, in Windsor’s Home Park, their main residence..
While retaining Kensington Palace’s Apartment 1A as their London residence and Anmer Hall in Norfolk as a country bolt-hole, Kate and William plan to make the Windsor residence their main family home.
The Sunday Times predicts that William and Kate may eventually move into “The Big House” – Windsor Castle itself when Prince Charles becomes king. It is thought that once he becomes the monarch Charles does not plan to spend as much time there as Queen Elizabeth does now.

A royal source said: “This is very much a decision that two parents have made to give their children the ‘most normal’ start possible.
“Kensington Palace can be a little bit of a fishbowl.
“They wanted to be able to give George, Charlotte and Louis a bit more freedom than they have living in central London.
“It’s very much a decision that’s been led by the kids.”
