WhatsApp texts about Lady Gaga double chin ‘by cosmetic surgeons Dr Daniel Aronov and Daniel Lanzer’

Two cosmetic surgeons allegedly planned how they could operate on Lady Gaga after one became obsessed with her ‘double chin’.

WhatsApp messages purportedly sent by Doctors Daniel Aronov and Daniel Lanzer appear to show the pair discussing how the pop superstar ‘needed liposuction on her neck.’

The publicity-hungry medics – whose social media videos made them TikTok superstars with more than 18 million followers – even appeared to consider offering to do the work for free.

‘Is it wrong that all I can think about during my inflight entertainment is how much I’d love to give Lady Gaga neck lipo?’ Dr Aronov allegedly posted in the leaked messages.

Dr Daniel Aronov ‘became obsessed with operating on Lady Gaga while on a flight’, leaked WhatsApp group messages allegedly written by the doctor revealed

Dr Lanzer runs the controversial Daniel Lanzer Clinics which is now under scrutiny over their cosmetic surgery practices.

‘Write to her. Free,’ his alleged reply read.

But in the group messages, sent to up to 65 doctors and nurses and allegedly sent by the pair, Dr Aronov admitted he didn’t know how to raise the subject without offending her.

‘How do I word it so it’s not outrageously offensive?’ he allegedly asked in the WhatsApp messages, reported the Sydney Morning Herald.

‘Hey Lady Gaga. Big fan. Can I call you lady? Just wanted to talk to you about your double chin…’

It’s not clear if the surgeons followed up on the conversation with the star herself.

Dr Lanzer surrendered his medical registration last December in the midst of an investigation into his clinics.

The website for his clinics now says Dr Lanzer has ‘retired’ and the sites are  ‘currently under review’, but still offer details of procedures and an enquiry form.

A class action against Daniel Lanzer Clinics alleging negligence has now been launched by 540 former patients.

Dr Aronov has since had limits put on the work he can carry out, preventing him from performing cosmetic surgery and restricting him to GP work under supervision.

He was also ordered to scrub his social media accounts of all medical-related material.

A tribunal into his behaviour heard how he had previously presented a paper at a medical conference entitled ”How to use evidence based medicine in clinical practice like a rockstar’.

The Medical Board of Australia has launched an investigation into Dr Aronov following 21 complaints against him from 17 patients, three colleagues and the NSW Health Complaints Commission.

A bid to allow Dr Aronov to return to the operating theatre to work as a ‘surgical assistant’ was rejected by the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal in June.
