A woman was left in tears after she got matching butterfly tattoos with her best friend — only to realise that they look more like a male appendage.
Alaina Nicole, who posts as @lanicole001 on TikTok, took to the app with a video of herself crying as she revealed the small tattoo on the back of her arm that is meant to be half a butterfly.
While her pal has the other half, the pair couldn’t help but notice that the tiny design looks more like a penis than a winged insect.

The clip, which has received more than 623,000 likes, was captioned: “When you try to get cute matching bestie tattoos and you get two limp d*cks instead!”
While having something like that inked on your skin permanently can be upsetting for the person with the ink, it didn’t stop some TikTok users poking fun at the design.
One user quipped: “Matching bestie laser tattoo removals will be so fun.”
Another wrote: “But did you not see the outline before they tattooed?”
A third added: “I’m very confused as to what it was supposed to be, to begin with.”
However, others took to the comments to reassure Alaina that the tattoos are an easy fix.
One user explained: “Hopefully take comfort that this is an easy fix!!”
Another suggested: “Just go get the rest of the butterfly done so it looks like an actual butterfly.”

But the mum from Edinburgh loved the supermarket so much that she spent a £90 tax refund on getting the logo permanently inked on her bum cheek.
