Arsenal fans accuse Man Utd of ‘stealing’ song for Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes

Arsenal fans have called out Manchester United supporters for ‘stealing’ their chant for Bruno Fernandes and new signing Casemiro.

United confirmed the transfer of Casemiro from Real Madrid last week in a deal worth £60million and potentially rising to £70m. The Brazilian midfielder was unveiled ahead of the 2-1 win over Liverpool and was brought on off the bench against Southampton on Saturday.

And it appears the Red Devils faithful have already made a chant for their new no.18, with footage emerging of their away fans singing ‘Bruno and Casemiro’ to the tune of Status Quo’s 1970s hit ‘Rockin All Over the World’.

Yet the song is primarily known in Premier League circles as being used by Arsenal to show their adoration for Hale End academy stars Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe. And Gunners supporters were not too happy after spotting United’s version on Twitter.

One fan tweeted: “Man United fans stealing the Saka and Smith Rowe chant. Shameless.”

Another wrote: “They remixed the Saka and Emile Smith Rowe chant … They wanna be us so bad.”

A third commented: “Saka and Smith Rowe chant being used in this way makes my skin crawl.”

Someone else added: “They want to be us SO BAD. If I speak I am in big trouble.”

Casemiro joins United after nearly a decade in the Spanish capital where he won three La Liga titles and five Champions League trophies. United fans will be hoping he will bring a winning mentality to a side which has lacked just that in recent years.
