Chelsea ace Mason Mount has an unusual talent he claims to be the best in the world

Mason Mount claimed to be the ‘world’s fastest clapper’ before showcasing his unusually fast ability to clap at a rate of knots.

The Chelsea midfielder is more known for his displays on the pitch, whether it is setting teammates up with inch perfect passes or bursting into the penalty area to find the back of the net. He has proven to be a revelation under both Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel, cementing himself a place in the starting eleven under nearly every manager he has played for.

However, his abilities extend way beyond the Stamford Bridge turf. As well as proving he is very handy with a golf club, he also displayed his unusual clapping ability.

The England international can clap at a breathtaking pace thanks to an unusual technique he has evidently perfected over the course of his life. His many years of practice, trial and error, and perfection has resulted in him being able to clap with terrifying speed, apparently.

“Have you not seen the world’s fastest clapper,” Mount said on the Tubes and Anges Golf Life podcast. Having triggered many curious impulses, he proudly ripped his golf glove off and got into his ultimate clapping position.

Mount has a very unusual but extremely fast clapping technique

“Shall I show you how I do it,” Mount asked, prompting the others on the green to have a go for themselves. “As a slow mo it’s like this, boom, boom boom” he said while flicking his hands from left to right.

Before everybody knew it, Mount clicked into fast forward mode, dazzling everybody by the sheer pace in his clapping. The current Guinness world record for the most amount of claps in one minute stands at 1080.

Incredibly, Mount does have a very similar technique to record holder Seven Wade. Maybe the England international is due a visit from the Guinness World Record authorities.
