Lena Tindall, four, wears pretty face paint as she larks around at Wellington Horse Trials

The Tindalls’ middle child proved she’s just as athletic as her sporting parents at Wellington Horse Trials today, as she performed a variety of acrobatic moves while watching mum, Zara, compete at the equestrian event.

The Queen‘s granddaughter, 41, looked relaxed as she competed in the eventing category in Hook, Hampshire, riding on grey gelding Classical Euro Star.

Wearing a long sleeve grey top, denim skirt and cute Nike red trainers – and with her face decorated in pretty colours – Lena looked to be enjoying her bank holiday Monday at the trials.

The youngster, who is older sister to brother Lucas, one, and younger sibling to Mia Grace, eight, played with the family’s pet dog, and at one point appeared to capturing images on a smartphone.

Zara donned a navy riding coat and white jodhpurs as she competed at the event. Her horse, Classical Euro Star, which the royal co-owns with Judith Luff, looked in fine fettle as she soared over the course’s jumps.

It’s the third time the royal has competed at an equestrian event this month, after taking part at events on the 5th and 11th of August.

Earlier, the Queen’s granddaughter, 41, looked relaxed in denim shorts and holding a pink cap as she inspected the course. The former Olympian will also compete at the Burghley Horse Trials on September 1st.

Hey pooch! At one point Lena took the family pet for a stroll, keeping a close eye on their lead as they strolled around the equestrian event

Shall we call great Granny? The tech-savvy four-year-old appeared comfortable with the phone she was holding. The equestrian event traditionally takes place on Bank Holiday Monday in August

Meanwhile grinning Lena was pictured performing handstands with a family friend at the side of the event course.

Then there were a series of rolls, using the same friend to steady herself during the impromptu acrobatic performance.

Many of the royals are with the Queen in Balmoral as she takes her annual summer break north of the border.
