Piara Waters, Perth, homeowner watched as teenage driver crashed into her bedroom from Ring doorbell

A homeowner watched a teenager crash into her home through a doorbell camera that was live streaming to her phone.

Michelle Wood said she was having coffee more than 150km from her Piara Waters, Perth, home in Narrogin when she checked her Ring doorbell at around 10.15 am on Monday.

She said she opened her phone and watched in horror as her doorbell camera live-streamed a Ford Falcon sedan ploughing through her Bayonne Corner home wall.

Moments later, a 19-year-old driver and young woman emerged from the wrecked car and confirmed he could hear Ms Wood through the doorbell’s speaker.

‘Listen, I’m the owner of the house; what has happened?,’ she asked.

‘I lost control coming around the corner,’ the driver said.

‘Going way too fast, obviously,’ Ms Wood told him. ‘I’ve got it all on camera, and police are on the way.’

Doorbell security footage showed the driver and a young woman (above) emerging from the car, uninjured, and tell Ms Wood they took the corner too fast

No one was injured in the crash.

Ms Wood said it was awful watching as the young driver ‘trashed’ her home.

‘I was in a coffee shop in a country town working with a volunteer and watching it in real-time just not being able to do anything,’ she told Seven News.

‘I was able to not just witness it, which was a bit scary, but deal with it immediately, call everyone within a minute of it actually happening.’

The driver apologised to Ms Wood and was taken for a mandatory blood test.

While emergency services were able to temporarily fix the home, Ms Wood said she was unsure where should would stay during proper repairs.

‘I don’t know where we’re going to stay or what’s going to happen,’ she said.

Police are continuing their investigation of the crash, and no one has been charged.
