Conor McGregor brands Hasbulla ‘smelly little inbred he wants to boot over goalpost’

Conor McGregor branded Hasbulla Magomedov a “smelly little inbred” who he wants to “boot over a goal post” in a series of now-deleted tweets.

The former UFC double champion called out the viral sensation in a bizarre social media rant on Wednesday night before deleting his tweets soon afterwards. He labelled the Russian a “smelly little inbred” and a “gimp” as well as claiming he would like to boot him over a goal post whilst referencing Gaelic football.

In a seemingly unprovoked attack, McGregor tweeted: “I’d love to boot that little gimp Hasbulla over a goal post. I’m gonna make it my mission to score a 3 pointer with him one day, hon the gaa.”

He later added another dig as he wrote: “Little smelly inbred.” However, Hasbulla soon responded on his own Twitter account, by replying: “I don’t follow bums… didn’t know someone was running their mouth.”

The Russian social media star then went on to add: “At least one of us kept an undefeated record. Hasbulla 1. McGregor 0.”

Hasbulla had taunted McGregor online earlier this month when sharing a video of his new pet chicken. He stated: “This is my chicken named Conor McGregor. There’s my beauty.”

By naming his new pet after McGregor, Hasbulla made an apparent reference to his friend Khabib Nurmagomedov’s iconic post-fight interview at UFC 205, in which he labelled the Irishman a “chicken”.

Nurmagomedov is one of a number of UFC stars that Hasbulla calls his friend, with the two Russians having a close relationship with each other.

McGregor and Nurmagomedov have a fierce long-running rivalry, with the pair involved in a number of altercations both before and after their lightweight title bout at UFC 229, which the latter won via a fourth round neck crank submission.

As well as Nurmagomedov, current UFC featherweight champion and pound-for-pound number one Alexander Volkanovski is also in Hasbulla’s corner and jumped to his defence on Twitter.

Responding to McGregor’s rant, the Australian wrote: “You’ll have to go through me first. Leave my mate alone @TheNotoriousMMA.” Volkanovski had a burger squashed on his face by Hasbulla in a viral video the pair filmed together on Wednesday.
