An amazing image has emerged of Wesley Fofana posing with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as a child at Saint-Etienne.
The pair will now link up at Chelsea after a summer transfer deadline day which saw Aubameyang join the Blues from Barcelona in a £10million player-plus-cash deal.
Fofana had moved to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, a day earlier, in a £69.5m transfer from Leicester.

Saint-Etienne’s English-speaking Twitter account tweeted: ‘From idol to teammate @Wesley_Fofanaa x @Auba @ChelseaFC.’

Gabonese striker Aubameyang spent two-and-a-half very successful seasons with the French side from 2010-2013, scoring 41 goals in 97 games to earn himself a move to Borussia Dortmund – where he played under Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel.

The 33-year-old enjoyed five brilliant campaigns in Germany before moving to Arsenal, where he started well but left in acrimonious circumstances, falling out with Gunners boss Mikel Arteta before joining Barcelona in January.
Centre half Fofana broke through with ‘ASSE’ and won plaudits across Europe for his mature performances in defence. Leicester signed him for £36.5m and he continued his development, leading to Chelsea’s interest in him.
The 21-year-old was the club’s most expensive transfer in a £280m summer splurge under new owner, US tycoon Todd Boehly, as Tuchel looks to overhaul his squad after the departures of defenders Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen for free.
