An e-scooter rider is fighting for life after a collision with an Uber at a busy Brisbane intersection, causing long delays for motorists heading to work.
Emergency services were called to the corner of Edmondstone Street and Melbourne Street in South Brisbane just after 5.30am on Monday.
The male rider was rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
The Uber driver stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their inquiries.

Police closed the entire intersection for hours, with the e-scooter’s mangled wreckage spotted sitting on the gutter.
Local diversions are in place with motorists urged to avoid the area as the Forensic Crash Unit investigate the incident.
The Uber has since been towed from the scene and police are urging any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
It was one of several traffic incidents causing long delays for commuters across the city, including two separate crashes on the Gateway Motorway.
