Browns defensive end Myles Garrett has been released from a Cleveland-area hospital after he was injured when he flipped his Porsche near the team’s practice facility in Berea, Ohio.
The 26-year-old suffered non-life-threating injuries in the wreck. He and a female passenger were taken the hospital around 3pm on Monday. Her status, as well as her identity, remain unclear.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that Garrett claims he was swerving to miss an animal on the road, but overcorrected, causing the car to flip. Neither alcohol nor drugs played a factor in the crash, according to police, and both he and his female passenger were wearing seatbelts. Traffic charges are pending, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
