Rio Ferdinand has been rinsed on social media for his outfit for the North London derby.
The former Manchester United defender turned TV pundit appeared on BT Sport ahead of Tottenham’s trip to Arsenal on Saturday and had people commenting on his brave outfit. The head-to-toe stone-coloured outfit with three layers is definitely an acquired taste, with one person even comparing him to Coronation Street character Roy Cropper.
As he appeared on TV, people filled Twitter with jabs at the 43-year-old. One said: “Looks like Rio Ferdinand has raided Roy Cropper’s wardrobe.”

One football fan made a hilarious comparison to a desert sniper, with the former Premier League hardman looking as though he would fit right in in the midst of the Sahara Desert. One wrote: “Rio Ferdinand would make a f***ing superb sniper in the desert.”
Another fan just questioned why Rio Ferdinand went for the outfit in the first place. They tweeted: “Anyone know why Rio Ferdinand is wearing that outfit?”
